We seem to have real trouble finding a decent fish and chip shop in Calne. Just as we find one we like it changes hands and the quality changes with it. At the momnt our preferred chippy id the Dolphin Fishbar on newcroft road. The Fish is always well cooked (something that we have had trouble with at other fish bars) and the chips are lovely. The staff are friendly and the service fast.
